Israeli war in Syria
The media describes the Israeli activities as "attacks" while such is a vague term as the media doesn't describe in what way the reader should view. In the context of pro-Israeli politics, Iran is viewed as arch rival, which then suggest that the roots of rivalry is in Iran. But, if you put "attacks" in the context of chronology of history, "attacks" appears to be related to the 2008-2009 Gaza War. The then spokesman of the Israelis, Mark Regev answered the question "Are re the Israelis at war?" by saying "We're at war in all times". And, when looking at countries who have signed peace with the Israelis, Syria is not among these countries. The Israeli "attacks" are acts of war against Syria to target Iranian presence in this country. This in return is related to the nuclear rivalry the Israelis started against Iran soon after Khomeini's death (1989) when the Iranian Revolutionary Guard decided to relaunch the country's nuclear program. The Israelis had their first nuclear warhead 20 years earlier.
